Tattoo FAQ's
Cost, Payments, and deposits
My rates for flash start at $125 per hour with a $125 minimum.
My rates for custom tattoos start at $150 per hour with a $150 minimum.
Typically hand-size tattoos cost around $200-$300 depending on placement and the amount of detail.
If you're wanting to plan a larger tattoo concept or want more information for budgeting purposes, I offer free consultations-- Email me or fill out a booking form!
I prefer cash for all tattoos, but in a pinch I do accept Venmo.
I require a $50.00 deposit to book a tattoo. You will be prompted for this on my tattoo booking form and provided a link to my Venmo. This deposit is non-refundable, but does count towards your total tattoo cost.
If you cancel your appointment within 24 hours of booking, no show, or cancel after I have completed your design & sent it to you, you will lose this deposit. If you reschedule within 24 hours of your appointment, you will lose your deposit. It is very difficult to fill a spot in 24 hours.
However if you reschedule your appointment with more than 24 hours notice, I will happily transfer your deposit to your next appointment.
*NOTE: If you submit a deposit for two tattoos and decide at the last minute you only want one, your deposit will not count towards your tattoo and you will be required to pay the full amount. Essentially, this is like having someone no-show. To avoid this, let me know with at least 24 hour notice if you're changing your mind about your appointment.
Touch Ups
If you have received a tattoo from me prior to September 12th 2026, you are eligible for a FREE TOUCH UP! Simply fill out a booking form and ignore the deposit. I'll be in touch to get you on the schedule.
For all future tattoos, I charge $50.00 for touch-ups. This covers my cost in materials as well as my studio rent. If you have future tattoo plans, it's cheaper and less wasteful to just tack the touch-up onto that appointment. Please note that touch-ups do not include add-ons to your tattoo. I will not touch up a tattoo that has not yet healed.

Where are you Located?
I work at Squid Ink which is a private studio. We're located in Henderson Center in Eureka, CA right across the street from Fin & Feather. I share this space with two incredible artists and an office manager. We are all very friendly humans who want to create an environment where people feel safe and welcome.
We use professional-grade tattooing equipment that meet if not exceed industry standard. We are all fully licensed artists. I use a rotary pen-style machine with pre-sterilized single-use disposable grips, cartridges, and needles. All surfaces in our studio are sterilized with medical-grade disinfectants. The studio has a medical-grade HEPA filter rated for 1,200 sf in a 700 sf space. All clients are sent home with aftercare instructions. I offer fully masked appointments and take COVID seriously.

How long have you been tattooing?
I did part of an apprenticeship in 2013 at Lost Kings Tattoo under Doren Clifford. There, I performed over 50 tattoos with mentor supervision, practiced drawing traditional flash and script, operated the autoclave, booked appointments, built coil machines and even soldered needles. It was a very traditional and rewarding apprenticeship, but ultimately I chose not to work in that shop.
Due to a non-competition contract and general life changes, I took a 10 year break from tattooing. I started tattooing on my own again in 2023. In that ten year gap I graduated from Humboldt State University as a double-major in studio art and art education. I have been in business doing illustrations and murals full time since August of 2020.
Am I eligible to be tattooed?
There are some medications and conditions that will prevent me from being able to tattoo you. You cannot get tattooed if you are:
- Under 18 years of age
- Pregnant
- Breastfeeding
- Taking Accutane or have taken Accutane within the last 9 months
- Taking antibiotics or have been on antibiotics within the last 2 weeks
- Taking blood thinners
- Sunburned in the area we will be tattooing
- Under the influence of or hungover from drugs or alcohol
